Blakely Ryan Thompson 5-15-2012

Okay, let's face it...I SUCK at this! It's been over 2-months since I last posted and there has been so much I should of blogged before now.

The most amazing thing happened just after my last post...

Baby BLAKELY made her appearance!!!
Tab called me Tuesday morning around 2am to tell me they were heading to the hospital. SO EXCITING!!! Tab was a trooper, had Blakely within 4 hours of getting to the hospital. She was 5cm upon arrival and quickly made it to 8cm while waiting on the epidural. (doctor was in delivery a 10pound baby boy, ouch)

Here's some pictures of Blakely meeting her family.

Here's with Grandma Sue (Sue & Jerry haven't decided on a grand parent names yet so grandma & papaw will do for now)

Papaw Jerry

Uncle Chad

Aunt Brittany

Great Nanny Gloria (who drove in from Houston with Papaw great George and Papaw Tim just to be here)

Awe...no picture with Great Papaw...

Daddy loving his baby girl (is he going to hog her all day?!)

It's nap time...shhhh

The next day I stopped by with Holli so she could meet her cousin. Oh boy this is going to be fun being a grandparent. Doesn't my face say it all?

Cousins hanging out

Tab & Ryan got a steak and lobster dinner before heading home (they got to go home a day early since mommy and baby were doing great)

 Three generations

Love this picture of the three generations of hands (Sue, Tab & Blakely)

Look how CUTE she is!!

The difference between 5-months and a few meals!

Happy little family (hi daddy)

All the pretty flowers
Welcome Home Baby Blakely...we've been waiting for you

Funny back story. We had a pool on when Blakely would be born and I bet she would come after Mother's day. Well that little stinker didn't make her debut until Tuesday morning 7-hours to late :).

To My Daughters, Love Mom

To my greatest joys, accomplishments and love,

Life holds too many surprises and before I lose the chance to do so and in lieu of Mother’s Day tomorrow, I want to pass on to you some things I’ve learned in life…

First, learn to live your life without regrets. Living with regrets, wishing to change things you can’t change only drags you down.

Learn to find the little wonderful things in life – they are what matter most.

Learn to dream big and believe the vastness of heavens and the depths of the oceans are not enough to encompass all that your heart can possibly wish for as they can never compass all my dreams for you.

Learn to forgive no matter how difficult it is to forget. Living life without anger is easier than consuming your life with a fruitless wrath.

Believe that you can do anything you set your mind to doing and learn to accept the things that you can’t.

Set a goal for yourself. It is easier to live your life when you know where you want to go.

Respect everyone and have compassion for those who do not have respect for themselves.

Love unconditionally but never ever lose yourself in the process.

Learn to say “No” and mean it. You don’t always have to please everyone.

I pray you have found the man God created for you and he'll lie awake watching you sleep for hours, hold your hand when you’re in pain, loves you unconditionally and will think you’re sexy and beautiful even when you're 75!
Learn to accept yourself – flaws and all. Look in the mirror and know that you are beautiful and that you are loved.

Learn not to judge yourself by what people think of you because people will always have an opinion and you could never please everyone.

Learn to judge yourself according to how you’d be judge in the end.

Live an honest life. You’d live longer.

Learn how to pray and believe with absolute faith that He will never forsake you.

Choose well the people you’d trust and always pay your debts.

Cultivate in your heart an innate kindness and the ability to find the goodness in everyone.

Don’t forget birthdays and learn to do something special for someone when they least expects it.

Never let others define you – define yourself.

Never forget to dance in the rain, walk barefoot on the grass, and smell the roses as you go by living your life.

Know that you are loved always, , unconditionally and forever.

Love,
Mom

What a month!

Well it's been a crazy month so far. Tab took a spell and ended up in the hospital for 24 hour observation. Thank GOD everything turned out OK. Here an excerpt from her blog.

   Clumsy at 35 weeks

i am exactly 5 weeks away from my due date!

and guess what i did?

i went and fell belly-first into the corner of my nightstand. seriously! what kind of mother am i? i felt so terrible that i could have caused my baby harm that i repeatedly kept promising her that i will never ever drop her when she gets on the outside. i won't blame her if she decides to stay in there forever...

we had to go to the hospital for a non-stress test to monitor her heartrate and movements. they gave me 3 bags of fluid, ran some bloodwork to make sure there was no crossing of mom and baby blood for internal bleeding, and they made me stay for 24 hrs. to make sure my placenta didn't detach. which it didn't. and everything turned out to be fine.

when they checked me that night, they found that i was 2 cm dilated, 75% effaced, and said my cervix was super soft and felt like a laboring cervix. as in i could be going into labor in the near future. we are also pretty sure i lost my mucus plug during my stay, so i'm thinking baby may be here before her due date. i have my 36 week appt. (NINE MONTHS) in the morning, so we will find out a little more at that time. until then, enjoy some pics from our crazy week:

Site of the impact 1 week later.

My little girls room

Okay call me crazy but when I heard the girls were both pregnant I went a little crazy. I converted my office into a special little girls room just for them.

I painted it a fun bright blue, think Tiffany blue!

I bought bunk beds that can be twin beds,

Installed a pretty chandelier and a few accessories

and it looks like Holli likes it already.

Here's what I did to incorporate my home office in with the guest room.
The before

The new paint (raisin)

The new office area

 The after - guest room

 and the office (love it)
